This stately tree spoke to me near the ruins
Set in beautifully remote locations are the ruins of the chapels dedicated to Saints Ninian and Blane, which tell of missionary faith. Stone circles, chambered cairns, cup markings and other mysteries from four millennia ago may grip your imagination as you explore the island. Iron age defence systems along the coast and inland conjure up images of invading hordes.
If I was ever to be buried - I'd hope for a fine view like this over the seas looking towards Arran
