Johan zooms in
This stately tree spoke to me near the ruins
Set in beautifully remote locations are the ruins of the chapels dedicated to Saints Ninian and Blane, which tell of missionary faith. Stone circles, chambered cairns, cup markings and other mysteries from four millennia ago may grip your imagination as you explore the island. Iron age defence systems along the coast and inland conjure up images of invading hordes.
If I was ever to be buried - I'd hope for a fine view like this over the seas looking towards Arran

Phase 2 - Catch up
Weymss Bay - ah! the nostalgia and memories of running for the ferry . . from the train
Fransie & Johan - who visited from South Africa
the two Rothesay ferry's pass each other en route - there is one every 45 minutes
At the far end of the Isle of Bute - there is another ferry - closer to Dunoon
A wall that must have taken ages to build - partly broken - probably with age - perhaps never to be mended

If only this stone could talk?
Someone has just had a haircut by the looks of it.
It's always thos leaves that are just out of reach that taste the best - wait a minute I'll use this fence as support - Jonathan Livingstone Sheep
Paisley - just near Gilmour Street station
