30-06 Dumbarton Rock

Sunset over Dumbarton Rock -

Apologies I've been a bit lax with my postings - and I have been forgetting to take my camera to work - well today I was punished - rush hour and all of a sudden the car in front of me stopped and I could see the traffic on the other side had already stopped - to my amazement it turned out to be two swans taking their young one's - all four of them for a stroll down this main road - and where was my camera - at home . . . AAAAArrrrghhh! (It was an absolutely lovely site - not a care in the world and chaos all around them - very reaffirming! I promise to carry my camera at all times

29-06 Cenna

Well I am getting a green finger reputation at work - bought this Cenna was about half the size - and it is now flowering - personally I'm waiting for the golden goose

Just to give an idea of the height about 1 metre - before it flowered I was asked whether we were going to smoke it . . .

22 -23/06 Here comes the sun

Driving home - amazing clouds - like brush strokes - a masterpiece in the making it was just Wow!

1906 Erskine Bridge

Erskine Bridge - taken after work at about 18h20 - quite dark actually - rain clouds threatening all the time . . .

There's gold in them thar hills - well maybe not but by God they are green . . . - looking towards Dumbarton - photo taken in a small industrial area . . .???

I am in Old Kilpatrick - almost underneath Erskine Bridge - a toll bridge 60p each way until not that long back . . . - sometimes closed to traffic when there are heavy winds about 500 / 600 feet high - above the Clyde - looking up/down river (not sure which would be correct terminology) towards Dumbarton

Now there used to be - I am told a ferry which ran across the Clyde and here is evidence - can clearly see the slips on either side must have been a few minutes and you'd be over - but of course the bridge has put an end to that - looking across at Erskine

Rosita charms everyone . . .

Rosita's not sure . . Rosario builds up his strength so he can beat Rosita up again

12 / 13 06 Clouds

0506 And the Heavens opened up

Wow - really humid the whole day and then the heavens opened . . . I am the proud owner of a bicycle - the beginning of a new me . . . lol - something had kept me back - Rioja - from Monday night class gave me first option on his old bike as he has bought a new one . . . I was in two minds but when I say it I thought it was worth it (don't be so nosey - I'm not telling) - I had to take about 16 photo's to get this on - because it si so dark in the close and the slightest movement blurs the photo - I eventually captured it by putting it on my Sports setting . . . .

0406 Invade Iraq - Cheap Petrol - Not !

This is what it has come to £1.16 per litre of petrol - my friends in South Africa were complaining when I was there in March - there price closer to 80p a litre - there standard reply yes but we don't earn what you guys earn in the UK . . . Erm - that is true but you don't have to pay what we pay either - am I stating the obvious . . lol - my rant for the day! (plane coming in for landing in the background)

0306 - Glasgow - Ibrox

Photo taken from my Mum's flat in Cardonald - Ibrox in the foreground and helicopter circling overhead . . . home of Rangers and what a season they had - many a tale will be told of what could have been - UEFA Final; The SPL . . . but as they say in the classics - 'you can't win em all' - lol (block of flats to the right - proof that the Borg are not just a figment of Star Trek but that they are actually alive and well in Glasgow . . . hmm!)

Monday 2 June 2008

0206 - Dumfries - Forest of Ae - Cows (calves) & Me

Forest of Ae - near Dumfries - just of the A701

I arrive on the scene - cows get nervous and make a run for it

Not too far though

Then they start getting curious

Hmmm! who is this - they edge a little bit closer

They all start back towards me - but sort of such that they can all see me

Ever get that feeling you are being watched - the centre of attraction . . . 'Take me to your leader . . . !'

As I crossed the road - they were all up against the fence - had the fence not been there - I am sure they would have come right up to me . . . eventually - obviously all calves . . .

This is a photo of the old Ballantyne's distillery building - no longer in use - but to be made part of a new development flats to be built in the future (OK technically picture taken on 0106 Shhh! don't tell anyone - I want to maintain my perfect record and as far as possible Iw ant the photo's to be taken on that day)
